HOW TO BE A TEAM PLAYER
Philippians 1:27 - Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,
Action Point #1 - Look out for the welfare of the people that God brings across your path.
Two of the deacon's primary responsibilities are:
1. To put a stop to the complaining.
2. To serve others.Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without complaining and disputing.
Acts 6:4 - "We will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word."
1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim His praises
Ephesians 4:11-12 - He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.
In a nutshell, this is what God says about service: "No one should do everything, but everyone should do something."
Action Point #2 - Kick up a little dust with your service.
Jesus said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." John 5:24
Philippians 2:15 - That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
Action Point #3 - Matthew 5:16
Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
